Alpina Dolomites - Technological Charm on the Alpe di Siusi

The Bright Journey of our Ambassador

The Schlern and the spectacle of the Dolomite massifs at sunset and sunrise with the Enrosadira. The silence and unspoiled beauty of the Alpe di Siusi. And a super technological and inclusive hotel where every detail and service are taken care of on a family scale.

Where it is located

In South Tyrol, on the Alpe di Siusi, the largest plateau in all of Europe, in the beautiful setting of the Dolomites. To access it, you use the gondola from Siusi up to Compaccio. In winter outside the hotel’s door, you will already find yourself on the ski slopes.

Design and mood

Built according to bio-building criteria to minimize environmental impact and energy consumption, elements of nature such as stone and wood are the material protagonists that characterize both the interior and exterior. The Mood is Alpine but interpreted with a touch of modernity.

Room style

60 rooms, divided into four different categories: standard, deluxe, suite, and chalet. The decor recalls the Nordic style with light, clean and essential lines. The Deluxe Room, the room I stayed in, is large (a good 50sqm) and enjoys a splendid view of the Sassolungo.

The common areas

Glass, stone, and wood create an innovative architectural concept that can be found not only outside but also in the interior spaces with a chic and modern touch however respectful of the Alpine style. The restaurant has some small rooms, the typical “stube,” that recall the atmosphere of a Chalet. The bar area also houses an elegant cigar lounge.

Services

If the restaurant offers 0-km gourmet cuisine, it is the wellness area that is the highlight with an indoor and outdoor pool from which to admire wonderful sunsets. In addition to the gym, more sporty guests have at their disposal an innovative simulator for playing golf. There are many proposals for fitness activities, yoga, guided hikes in both summer and winter. Bicycle rental for guests is free of charge, while e-bikes are available for a fee.

Technology experience

The hotel is on the cutting edge of technology and is equipped with the GRMS VDA Micromaster system with Vitrum in both rooms and common areas. Room opening is by magnetic card, with the possibility of using the ‘do not disturb’ feature. Excellent air conditioning and heating control: on arrival it was set to eco mode with optimal room temperature. Surprising are the floor sensors for nighttime bathroom lighting.
In addition to the presence of a Samsung Smart TV, the rooms are equipped with a tablet displaying a personalized welcome message. From the tablet, one can access various hotel information, room service, and there is even a “pillow” menu. From the tablet one can also book spa treatments as well as interact with the front desk to personalize certain experiences such as make-up room time.

Eco-sustainability

Technology and bio-building are the defining elements of an eco-sustainable hotel. However, one can improve the packaging part of the courtesy set. Adhering to the “Respect the Mountain” program here you will find only glass bottles, a much-appreciated aspect in the effort to eliminate plastic.
