Lefay Dolomiti Resort - Luxury, technology and sustainability winking at Generation Z

Our Ambassador’s Bright Journey

“In one of the most renowned areas of Trentino, Lefay is a contemporary alpine resort under the banner of sustainability, where energy saving, and green building go hand in hand with wellness and exclusivity.”

Where it is located

The Lefay Resort is a jewel of the Dolomite area: in fact, we are in Pinzolo, the main center of the beautiful Val Rendena, Trentino, just a few kilometres from Madonna di Campiglio, which, with its ski area of more than 150km of slopes, is the largest in Trentino.

Design and mood

Modern alpine style, clean and essential lines, large windows both in the rooms and in The Common Areas that bring the landscape inside the structure. The architecture, which follows the principles of green building, draws inspiration from the material elements proper to the territory, such as stone, wood, and glass, reinterpreted in a contemporary way.

Room style

The Lefay Resort has well over 70 rooms and suites many of which overlook the pool and the country, a few (of the most beautiful) forests and the mountains. Large square footage and modern design characterize all room types equipped with a fireplace (alas, a faux look that somewhat clashes with the place), living area, bedroom, and bathroom. At Lefay Dolomiti, discerning guests can also count on a 300sqm penthouse and the new residences.

The common areas

They follow the general mood: alpine modern. Clean, well-kept, and essential. The restaurant has some ‘stube’ rooms that echo the style of a chalet. The bar area also has a cigar lounge with indoor and outdoor space. There are two restaurants to entrust the gourmet experience to, Grual and Dolomia.

Services

In addition to the two restaurants and the never-before-seen cigar lounge, the Lafay Resort provides guests with one of the largest spas in the Dolomites that follows Eastern principles in a combination of fragrances and alpine tradition.

Technology experience

The hotel features a GRMS VDA system that, when the room is opened with a magnetic card, activates a welcome scenario: turning on night lights, automated opening of curtains, fireplace, and TV; the possibility to use an automated ‘do not disturb’ feature; air conditioning and heating control (set to eco mode on arrival with optimal room temperature); centralization of lights and floor sensors for night bathroom light on entry.

A smart TV welcomes you with a personalized message: PayTV with adult pay programs. A Chromecast feature is present but, on our visit, it was not working. There is also a tablet in the room with various useful details about the hotel.

Eco-sustainability

Eco-sustainable principles are a guide of the brand: green building, natural materials, ClimaHotel certification with orientation to containment of energy needs and use of renewable energy (biomass boiler): a great attention and support for local communities as well as extensive use of mostly local suppliers.
